Pressure Cooker vs. Slow Cooker

Are you choosing between a pressure cooker vs. slow cooker? Then this guide is for you. The two appliances look very similar, however, when it comes to their functionality — they’re two totally different deals. And, this is why:

Difference # 1: The time you spend to cook – As the name implies, slow cookers use long period of time to cook your food slowly on a low heat. Whereas, pressure cookers can cook your meals thoroughly in minutes using steam heat and pressure.
So, if you don’t feel like planning in advance and wait up to 8 hours for your food to be ready — then pressure cooker is your best bet. However, what can be better than waking up in the morning to a delicious smell of your favorite meal just because you were thoughtful enough to put the food in a slow cooker before going to bed.

Difference # 2: The recipes you use to cook – Since pressure cookers and slow cookers have two totally different approaches when it comes to cooking your food — it goes without saying, that the recipes will also require a separate set of cooking knowledge. In fact, it all comes to the amount of liquid you’ll use to cook. Other than that, depending on the model you choose, you’ll be able to cook anything, starting from yogurt till the most tenderest meats.
